Military and government secure voice and networking supplier, PacStar, has added its software to Cisco’s unified communications platform to meet the demands of military use, according to a report by TelecomWeb. The addition of PacStar’s IQ-Core software enables users to connect directly to the Defense Information Systems Network (DISN), eliminating the cumbersome two-step analog to IP networks process, according to TelecomWeb. The supplier says it’s the first time Cisco-based “Everything Over IP” (EoIP) is available to US military customers.
