Cisco partners are headed out next week to Honolulu, Hawaii for Cisco’s annual Partner Summit, where the talk among Cisco resellers will be how to grow their business (U.S. partners are optimistic, despite the looming recession, according to this video of Keith Goodwin, Cisco SVP of worldwide channels) and how to find qualified talent. Cisco is also expected to expand the availability of its Smart Care program that was announced last year, according to eChannelLine. Smart Care allows partners to provide network management services to small and midsize businesses. Also expanded will be Cisco’s E-Consulting initiative to include more than 4,000 partners, according to eChannelLine. E-Consulting  is an automated process that measures and assesses a channel partner’s sales and delivery capabilities against its industry peers, according to Cisco.
