The Pingdom blog has a chart showing the growth of the World Wide Web from site No. 1 in 1990 to today’s 162 million. Two things strike me in looking at it: the little dip in 2002-2003; and, the way the chart drives home the point that this thing that encompasses and absorbs so much of our daily lives is really so incredibly young — as in not even old enough to drink.
