I’ve had a chance to play with the Polycom CX700 IP Phone for OCS. It runs Microsoft Office Communicator Phone Edition, not to be confused with CoMo. When you “login” to the phone it actually shows you online to other Communicator users. However, when they try to send you an IM they get an error message. This seems to be a weird bug with MOC phone edition. However, outside of that, the phone is great! Calling friends on landlines none of them had any idea I was using an IP Phone. Even when I fired up a few bittorrent downloads they were none the wiser. Granted I use a QoS’d network, but all the same I wouldn’t have been surprised to see the occasional stutter or blip. Definitely two thumbs up for a corporate OCS-enabled ip phone.
