Day 57
Found a position on Dice this morning and applied for it. Don’t know how new the position is. With the way that Dice allows jobs to be reposted, you can’t really tell how how new or fresh a position is.
Got a call from Mark Nagl at Volt Technical Services. He pitched the US Central position to me. I advised him I had already interviewed for the position. He said the position had just posted this morning. Going from my documentation, I laid out the sequence of what had happened so far. I encouraged him to get back with US Central for clarification. He said he would see what he could find out and let me know.
Got a call from Grace at Tri Com Technical. She also tried to pitch the situation to me. I also told her the sequence of events. She was shocked to hear what had happened. Will see what she can find out for me and then compare notes between the two recruiters who have approached me on the position.
Got a call from Lance at Teksystems. The position with the pharmaceutical position hasn’t moved forward. No interviews have been scheduled and no explanation for the delay. I told him about the US Central position change since he was the first to bring it to my attention and I felt he should know out of courtesy since he has been trying to find something for me the longest of anyone.
He also advised me that the postion at IBC had been withdrawn because they couldnt find a “qualified” candidate. We both got a good laugh over that one. I think they interviewed most of the available candidates in Kansas City and couldnt find anyone? My guess from others that I have heard that interviewed for the position is that they wanted the world and didn’t want to pay much for it.
Found a position on CareerBuilder this afternoon from United Health Group. Applied for the position. They sent you out to a Web site by the name of Taleo. Apparently I had been on this site before and took a few minutes to update my information before getting it sent on to UHG.
Found a position on Dice for one of the local banks. When I clicked on the apply button, I was linked out to the bank’s Web site. The site was a little confusing. Spent about 30 minutes getting my profile put in and another 30 minutes figuring out how to get my profile linked to the job I was applying for.
