Wireless guru and Network World blogger Craig Mathias is calling Cisco’s unveiling today of the Mobility Services Engine “one of the most important wireless announcements of the year.”
He says the announcement is proof that the wireless LAN area is not yet commoditizing – that there is room for innovation. Mathias paints a technically elegant picture of the MSE, a non-disruptive network server that makes mobility services available across all wired and wireless networks.
He also praises Cisco for its marketing technique of “redrawing the map” so that its product occupies a unique space in the market.
