It has been a while since I have posted anything here. I apologize. I think it is time that I change that. There have been a lot of things going on in the world of training and certification and most of those mean, it is time for me to upgrade my certifications to the latest versions. One of the things that I will continue to write about here is my attempts to upgrade everything. I think it might be interesting for you to see what is “behind the curtain” for those of us who are the “experts”. You will get to see how I go about the upgrade process. I will talk about new features and different rough spots that I find along the way. I will also take a few tangents to explore things that I run into. I hope you find this interesting. Let me know what things you might want me to explore so I make sure that I put in a side trip.
For me right now, I need to upgrade both my MCSE in Windows 2003 as well as my MCSD. My first task was to figure out what exams I need and what materials I have available to get me where I need to go. I will go into those things in more detail in my next entry. At this point I will just say that I feel like I have a long way to go. There are a LOT of exams and certifications now. My last post talked about my early opinion on these changes. I have a feeling that I am going to be complaining a LOT louder in the future. Stay tuned for that. I have to go start studying Windows 2008. I will be back soon.
