Cisco donates Democratic National Convention equipment to local schools

Cisco is donating to local schools the equipment it used to network the Democratic National Convention in

Denver, Colo., reports 9News.com. The gear worth $5 million includes phones, printers, wireless access points, computers, servers, switches and services. The local news station reports that Cisco will begin taking applications from schools and districts and that engineers will begin cleaning out information from computers and hard drives. Cisco aims to begin distributing the gear before the end of the year.
