Uberpulse is reporting that Cisco will in November go live with its first internal social networking site aimed at its developer community. The platform, which is based on technologies from start-up Liferay, will enable developers to collaborate more effectively with Cisco engineers by forming ad-hoc groups and seeking out company experts for information, reports Uberpulse.
Uberpulse cites Jim Shepard as saying that since the site was launched less than two months ago, it has attracted 2,000 users and some 350 people use it on any given day.
