No more commute for 12,000 Cisco workers

There are 12,000 fewer Cisco workers on the road today as the networking giant revealed that it has that

many employees who work remotely, according to SiliconIndia. According to Cisco’s Web site, it employs 65,225 workers, and the 12,000 number reported by SiliconIndia is a worldwide figure.  This snippet came to light this week as Cisco announced its Cisco Virtual Office bundle of products and services aimed at helping companies design and install remote-site communications that replicate the connectivity workers have when they’re located in corporate sites.
