Android anticipation is nearing a fever pitch, with the first Android-enabled mobile phone expected to be announced by T-Mobile Sept. 23, according to this report by Reuters. But what’s all the fuss about? We have Apple’s iPhone, and Blackberry’s new flip phone is very cool. Well, Android promises a lot more, especially in terms of the groundbreaking apps it can support. Google announced the results of its $10 million Android developer challenge, and the winning applications range from cool tools that can call you a cab, to social apps that let you and your friends plan a night on the town–in real time.
