Computer products distributor Tech Data announced that it has opened a new hands-on center filled with Cisco networking and collaboration gear. The center allows resellers and channel partners to try out, test, integrate and otherwise get to know some of Cisco’s latest emerging technologies. A story on TechTarget reports:

The 650-square-foot Cisco solution center in Clearwater, Fla., is jointly funded by the vendor and Tech Data. It houses a range of Cisco offerings, including enterprise-class and small-business networking; unified communications; teleworker packages that involve routing, switching and IP or video phones; call center technology; physical security; network management; and digital signage.

While the center is geared towards resellers, it is ultimately useful for the enterprise and other SMB customers. Resellers can use the center to gain experience with new products and to verify that the customized packages they are trying to sell work as advertised.
