Texas university embraces the iPhone

Abilene Christian University this fall put Apple iPhones and iPod Touches into the hands of about 1,000 freshman as part of a huge new mobile learning project. Pretty cool to see a school that is embracing the mobile technology rather than treating it as a distraction. Also, the school is being forward thinking by creating apps that work on the Apple devices, but could also be used on Android or other devices down the road.
