The Web is abuzz with the news that Avaya is looking for a buyer. Now, when you’re talking about acquisitions and you’re talking about the networking industry, you’re often talking about Cisco. The Associated Press says Cisco has avoided buying Avaya for years, but may now be interested in the smaller company’s IP telephony technology. Of course, the stronger possibility is that Nortel buys Avaya.
