Victims of identity theft go through hell trying to get their lives back in order and their stories rarely result in happy endings … never mind justice.
This one, however — the story of how Karen Lodrick literally chased down and apprehended the woman who put her through that hell — did indeed appear headed for both a happy ending and justice.
Until the judge blew his end of the bargain.
But the story in today’s San Francisco Chronicle is still an incredible, uplifting read — and, cliché or no cliché — you’ll swear it’s the work of a Hollywood writer instead an account of one brave woman’s real-life determination.
