Microsoft is demonstrating its Connected Services Sandbox that brings Web 2.0 convergence tools to telecom companies. The services it has developed with partners, and is showing off at NXTcomm 2007 this week, include click-to-call, unified messages that integrate call-back, routing, logs with instant messaging. There is nothing unusual about the services themselves, but all were developed with .Net and so-called Web 2.0 code. The idea is to show service providers how they can roll out these mashups, and others, quickly using the latest, greatest Internet tools.
