Our sister publication, Computerworld, has long trolled the waters of IT oddities and oddballs in a print feature called Shark Tank that has evolved online into Shark Bait. Many a Darwinian workplace mystery has been revealed there, but never anything on the order of this story about a real shark.
In a nutshell: Shark bites aquarium worker. Shark dies shortly thereafter. Shark autopsy reveals heretofore unknown pregnancy: “We must have had hanky panky” in the shark tank, thinks veterinarian.
But shark had no hanky-panky partner. … Hmmmm.
And you thought your waters were full of weirdness.
