On June 26, Microsoft released a revised security patch that affects Windows 2000 Service Pack 4, XP Service Pack 2 and Windows Server 2003. The original patch was released April 10 and fixes the “Kernel Local Elevation of Privilege” vulnerability that could allow attackers to give themselves higher-level privileges on the affected software. The patch is rated “important.”
