Cisco doesn’t want shareholder approval – in Japan

At Cisco Subnet we love to report on goings-on in Cisco departments all over the world. We’re just saving up our coins to visit those destinations. Today, it’s Cisco Japan, which Jiji Press reports will change its corporate status to from a stock company to “godo kaisha” on Aug. 1. Apparently that’s similar to a limited liability company.

Jiji Press reports that this will enable the renamed Cisco Systems G.K. to make “important management decisions” without requiring shareholder approval.

Good for Cisco G.K.
