Analog still king at Baseball Hall of Fame

For a Panorama podcast that went live on our site today, I got to combine two of my favorite subjects: Baseball and technology. And what better timing than with Cal Ripken and Tony Gwynn being inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame this weekend. With over 10,000 hours of audio and video covering the game’s greatest moments, one would think the Hall has a major digital media archiving system. But as Benjamin Harry, media archivist and recording manager for the Hall of Fame, explains, they’re still doing things the old fashioned way. (And really old-fashioned in some cases.)
