Cisco issues security alerts for content switching and video surveillance gear

Cisco on Sept. 5 issued two security alerts: Cisco Content Switching Modules and the version with SSL contain two security holes that could lead to a denial-of-service attacks. Fixes are available from Cisco.

Cisco Video Surveillance IP Gateway video encoder and decoder devices could allow unauthorized users to gain complete administrative control of the gear, according to Cisco. Fixes have been issues though no workarounds are available.
