iPhone owner needs a dose of ‘heal thyself’

Amid all the hullabaloo about Apple slashing its prices and ticking off those who bought iPhones on Day One – or last week – comes this story from Associated Press in which some early adopters assure us that such risks are a small price paid willingly.

After all, being the first kid on your block with the new toy is well worth a couple hundred wasted dollars.

Explains Andrew Brin, a 47-year-old gadget hound from Los Angeles:

“If they told me at the outset the iPhone would be $200 cheaper the next day, I would have thought about it for a second – and still bought it. It was $600 and that was the price I was willing to pay for it.”

Brin’s profession? … Addiction therapist.

Guess the guy knows of what he treats.
