Cisco issued a security response to an IOS flaw that was originally reported on the Cisco NSP mailing list in August. The vulnerability causes IOS devices to crash and reload after executing a command that uses either directly or indirectly, a regular expression, reports Cisco. The company says no workarounds are available.
