I was just watching a video over on Channel 10 about Round Table which is an amazing 360 degree panoramic video device, allowing you to see everyone “around the table” that integrates with Live Meeting 2007 or OCS 2007.
Round table is 3 things in one: VOIP phone, Video over IP and a simple PSTN phone with USB connectivity.
I was amazed to see that this device is now shipping to customers, I didn’t realise it had been released yet. I can only think that it has been shipped to a select bunch of Enterprise customers, because the main UC launch is on 16 October 2007.
I saw a demo of Round Table while I was at the EVO Community Day during the summer and I was simply blown away by it. The guys that did the demo, were asked at the last minute to do an off-the-cough demo and it worked perfectly without any planing. I recorded a podcast about this with the guys that did the demo.
