Cisco has won a deal to build a swish new tier-4 data center for Injazat Data Systems, the United Arab Emirates’ IT and business process outsourcing provider.
Cisco gets to kit out the data center with its Service-Oriented Network Architecture (SONA).
According the Injazat press release, the two-storey data center is part of a project that includes the five-story Injazat Data Systems HQ, and an eight-storey cark park. The HQ will house 1,000 employees and offer facilities such as a 200-seat auditorium, a gym, and a coffee shop. Once operational, the data center will accommodate up to 9,000 servers and associated infrastructure.
UAE isn’t known for its discrete architecture though it must be nice to work on a plush new data center.
