Shares of Google (GOOG) topped the $600 mark in early morning trading today – a new all-time high for the search engine giant. The stock was trading at $600.29 by early afternoon. Google shares have gained about 40% in the last 12 months, says Dow Jones. So, let’s compare … Google has a market cap of over over $188 billion, bigger than the GNP of most of the countries in the world. (Singapore’s 2005 GNP was $120B, for instance.) It has revenues of about $13.43 billion, according to Yahoo Finance. Microsoft is trading at about $29 at the time this blog was posted, and has a market cap of over $278B on revenues of over $51 billion. Which stock is the better bargain?
