Cisco, Raytheon build network for emergency personnel

Cisco and Raytheon are building a wide-area communications network for emergency responders and military personnel, reports BusinessWeek.

Raytheon’s JPS Communications subsidiary is expected to provide hardware for the project while Cisco will design the communications network, reports BusinessWeek. Users will be able to communicate and share information using a variety of electronic devices.
