Weathervane is a four-letter word?

It’s a habit most likely peculiar to my profession, yes, but when I read a headline such as this one – “Quebec legislature bans use of word weathervane” – I will actually pause for a moment to mull the various possibilities as to what the story itself might reveal. In this case, I must admit that I was stumped for even a guess. But the story is priceless.
