Cisco Europe safe from softening sales (for now)

Analysis
Nov 15, 20071 min

Cisco Europe isn’t experiencing the same softness in sales in the financial sector as it is in the United States, according to a story by Reuters.

Reuters quotes Nick Earle, head of Cisco’s service business in Europe as telling the audience at Morgan Stanley Technology, Media and Telecoms conference in Barcelona: “I can’t guarantee that we won’t. I can only say that we didn’t.”

Despite posting a 35% growth in profits for its fiscal first quarter results, Cisco suffered declining sales from its largest 25 customers – eight of which are financial services companies.
