Cisco is Tuesday expected to unveil the latest version of its Cisco Unified Personal Communicator unified communications client with native support for Apple Mac and Leopard, according to a blog post by M. Michael Acosta, manager of Cisco engineering (via ZDnet). According to Acosta’s post, Cisco’s unified communications client was developed in parallel on both Mac and Windows and is a fully native Mac application with a user-interface developed specifically for the platform.
The post also reads:
Cisco also offers SSL and IPSec VPN clients for the Mac OS, as well as our MeetingPlace and WebEx web conferencing solutions. And, much to the delight of Cisco’s own Mac users, Apple has also made support for EAP-FAST a native part of OS X.
Cisco says the release is part of the company’s cross-platform support.
