University of Indiana Associate Professor Katy Borner tells the Good Experience blog (scroll down a bit to the 4/24 entry) about her plans to build a macroscope, “which helps you make sense of huge amounts of data.”
Her push is to give people a broader view of data than they get with tools such as search engines that call up specific facts. Borner will share more of her ideas this week at a conference called Gel 2006, which is “a conference, and community, exploring good experience in all its forms — in business, art, society, technology, and life.”
