MIT researchers are using the latest in large-scale storage to support a study on early childhood behavior. The project will employ a 1.4 petabyte IP storage array. The storage system underlying the project is being provided by Bell Microproducts, Marvell Technology, Seagate Technology and Zetera. The researchers say that the speech and video mining technologies being used could have implications for enterprise networks down the road.
