Last time we mentioned Vyatta on this blog the item sparked an interesting back-and-forth about the importance — or lack thereof — of fledgling open-source routing efforts.
Kelly Harrell apparently needs no more convincing, as today he was named CEO of Vyatta. Harrell had been senior vice president of strategic operations at MontaVista Software, an embedded Linux supplier.
Vyatta is an ancient Sanskrit word meaning “open” — but you knew that already.
