Interesting look at the pros and cons of auto-dialed opinion polls vs. those conducted by live interviewers in The Fix, authored by Chris Cillizza, in today’s Washington Post. The comments section is particularly enlightening — and how often to you see that said about any comments section (other than those here at Network Work, of course).
Bottom line for me: I’m pretty much convinced that the auto-dialers have their bases covered in terms of relative accuracy.
However, never let us forget that self-selected online opinion surveys do indeed suck.
