It’s becoming the new tradition the day after the Super Bowl: Check in with Tivo to see what was the most popular moments from the broadcast.

Tivo monitored Super Bowl 39 just like every other show within its reach, which allows it to track the play-replay-pause actions of its subscribers and issue the following:

  • The highest spike in Tivo replay button activity – “Whoa, did you see that?!” – was the sex-ay GoDaddy.com ad. Which you can view here if you like. The version considered too hot – even for Fox – is here. You’re welcome.
  • This year’s so-clean-you-could-watch-it-with-Gram-and-Gramps halftime show with Paul McCartney retained more viewers than last year’s hip-hop jamboree and last-second strip-tease. Not surprising, given last year Janet Jackson doffed her top in the last second of the halftime show. You know everyone was watching the entire show this year to see if anything went awry.
  • A fourth quarter interception by Patriot’s linebacker Tedy Bruschi was the most viewed play of the game.
