We’ll say this for virus writers, they don’t let grass grow under their feet when it comes to messing with Microsoft.
Word out of Europe has an Austrian hacker writing and publicizing viruses especially for Microsoft’s Vista just days after it was released into beta. The viruses take advantage of Monad, a new command line shell featured in Vista.
The hackers says Monad’s sophistication offers new opportunities for hackers: “Monad will be like Linux’s BASH (Bourne Again Shell) – that means a great number of commands and functions. We will be able to make as huge and complex scripts as we do in Linux.”
Looks like Redmond has managed to make some people happy after all.
