Microsoft says it is “repositioning” RSS in the next release of Internet Explorer in an attempt to pretend it’s not as late to the RSS game as it is.
Well, the company didn’t exactly say that, but that’s what it boils down to.
The Register says Redmond is currently “exploring the right name to use for RSS feeds, with the current working term being ‘web feeds.’ ” This continues the company’s rich tradition of trying to improve a popular technology that works just fine as is and then claim it as its own.
