After appearing in 155 commercials over the past six years Trench Coat Guy has apparently lost his job as a result of the Sprint-Nextel merger:
“Trench Coat Guy was great when Sprint was selling its services primarily to household customers. But Nextel is focused on the business market, and so the company now needs a new image,” writes The Washington Post.
A Sprint spokeswoman says he is “on hiatus.” Can he take the Verizon “Can You Hear Me Now?” guy with him?
