Warner Brothers announced last week that it will sell its movies and shows over the Internet. Big deal, right? Well, the actual news is the studio will use BitTorrent.
OK, that’s news.
Users will download BitTorrent and say anywhere from $1 for a TV show to around $4 to $5 for a full-length movie.
Although they will be using BitTorrent software, accurding to The New York Times, users: “will be prevented from copying and distributing files they purchase through two mechanisms: one that requires them to enter a password before watching a file, and another that allows the file to be viewed only on the computer to which it was downloaded.”
We predict that’ll work for about 2 days.
