Unhappy with the local Margaretville Telephone Company’s network, quality and offerings, Gerdes simply decided to turn the entire rural town into a Wi-Fi hot spot and tell everyone about Skype.
Now town residents can surf the ‘Net wirelessly from just about anywhere free and bypass the local telecom concern.
