After surveying nearly 19,000 readers, Consumer Reports says those in the market for electronics are bound to be happier shopping online than in their local stores.
Topping the list of online retailers in terms of price, product selection, product quality, service, information quality and return policies were Crutchfield.com, Amazon.com, Costco.com, J&R.com and Buy.com. Costco, Circuit City and Best Buy scored higher marks for their Web shopping than that of their traditional stores.
“Mass merchandisers like Target, Wal-Mart and Costco might have decent prices but they rated poorly in service and selection, the survey found,” reports USA Today.
