Moore topples Gates

Bill Gates has been bumped from the top spot as America’s most giving gazillionaire by Intel’s Gordon Moore. If it’s any consolidation for Bill, at least it wasn’t Sergey Brin and Larry Page.

Business Week’s philanthropist top 50 list is out Monday with Moore and wife Betty at No. 1, unseating the Gateses for the first time since 2002.

Other big movers on the list include investment magnate John Marks Templeton, who came out of nowhere to grab #11; Paul Allen, who dropped 16 spots to #25; and Oprah who jumped from #40 to #32.
