A letter to telemarketers

Dear telemarketers,

When calling to solicit donations for your charity, try varying the script a bit. It gets a little disingenuous when every charitable organization fund raiser claims “It’s nice to hear a friendly voice, I almost forgot what one sounded like” after we say we’re doing fine. We know its a thankless job, but try being a little more spontaneous. Everytime that line is used, it’s an automatic “No” on our end.
