Much-ballyhooed mobile gaming is coming to Las Vegas, perhaps as early as this year.

Officials behind The Venetian said a trial could roll out handheld black jack, roulette, poker and slots at the hotel late this year. After receiving regulatory approval, it will also be offered at The Palzazzo resort, scheduled to open next door in late 2007.

“Guests may want to enjoy the excitement of casino gaming from one of our great restaurants or from their chair poolside,” Las Vegas Sands spokesman Ron Reese said.

Or perhaps whilst riding in one of those dorky gondolas.
