Best Buy does Apple hokey pokey

Best Buy is doing the Apple hokey pokey, once again deciding to sell Macs.

Or at least Best Buy is putting a right foot in by trialing Mac sales at seven of its 754 U.S. stores. The chain apparently once sold Macs, but stopped in 1998 when they didn’t, in fact, sell. Now that Apple stores are smokin’ hot retail experiences, Best Buy wants to give it another go.

Best Buy says only its associates trained at Apple HQ will sell the gear and work with customers. Store officials are “watching to see whether the computers can be sold profitably, and whether Best Buy employees can provide the level of customer service that Apple customers are used to getting in an Apple store,” writes USA Today.

*snort* OK, that’s funny. There ain’t no Geniuses at Best Buy, that’s for sure.
