How your co-workers resemble failing hard drives

  The New York Times led off its Tech Q&A this week with a question on hard drives: “In a recent conversation, a tech person said that hard drives can get “tired or aged.” Is this really so?” Here’s the part of the answer that caught our eye: “The signs of a hard drive in decline can include grinding or clicking noises, frequent crashes or other erratic behavior.” Interestingly, that sentence also describes half of the Network World edit department.
