Do you think anyone, anywhere has ever uttered the words: “Damn, this laptop totally clashes with my couch!” Sony is preparing to fill a very small, very odd niche by offering a line of Vaio laptops “designed to complement any home’s motif.” Even Rumpled Chaos and Early American College Dorm? Apparently so. The laptop come in “Wenge brown”, “black” and “white.” Bravo, Sony. No one’s every done a black or white laptop before. And what the hell is a “wenge”? “From the furniture you sit on to the artwork you hang on your walls, you coordinate every aspect of your home’s style so why hide your PC?” said Mike Abary, VP of Vaio marketing. “These new notebooks are designed to accent your interior design, as well as your life.” Seriously – if this is someone’s biggest problem, we all should be so lucky.
