You can put aside any notion that HP’s removal of Patricia Dunn from her board chairmanship — but not the board — was going to stem the flow of damaging revelations about the company’s mushrooming spying scandal.
From this morning’s New York Times: “Those briefed on the company’s review of the operation say (its private) detectives tried to plant software on at least one journalist’s computer that would enable messages to be traced, and also followed directors and possibly a journalist in an attempt to identify a leaker on the board.”
What? They couldn’t find any leg breakers?
Dunn’s wrist slap isn’t going to do it here. Heads will yet roll. And a couple of them could well land behind bars.
