Life moves a little slower in VT

This past weekend found me spending a relaxing weekend at a cabin in Vermont with friends. Perusing the local paper, I found a headline that said, “Verizon expands high-speed Internet service in Brandon”. Cool, they’re getting Fios, I thought as I read the headline. Um, no. Turns out they’re just now getting ho-hum DSL service. I knew parts of Vermont were rural, but I figured all the major areas (we weren’t far from Middlebury) had DSL at the very least!
