A University of Illinois researcher is trying the wireless equivalent of making a silk purse out of sow’s ear, writes Network World’s John Cox.
The National Science Foundation has awarded a 5-year, $400,000 grant to explore ways of using radio interference to actually improve wireless communications.
The grant was made to Daniela Tuninetti, assistant professor of electrical and computer engineering at University of Illinois at Chicago. Her goal is to establish the theoretical foundation for turning the concept into a reality.
